Unsigned Pop Punk is a community based around the idea of building and supporting the music scene from the ground up. Whether you are just starting out and looking to learn and grow, or have been in the scene for many years, we are here to help as best we can on your journey.
We have a collective of over 20 years in the music industry and have worked in many positions for those years, we know how difficult it can be AND feel to work so hard for something and to struggle to be heard.

Meet The Team
Meet Patrick Tarnowski! Patrick is the brains behind the whole operation! He is the founder of Unsigned Pop Punk and co-creator of the “Unsigned Pop Punk” podcast! Patrick has been in the music industry and playing in bands since 1999. He was in the band Jamestown Story for most of the 2000s before starting Cities Never Sleep in 2008 where he plays bass/guitar and shares vocal duties. He has performed at and toured with the Vans Warped Tour and has toured the country for much of the past 20 years. He loves Pitbulls and comic books.
Meet Gibby! Gibby is the co-host of the Unsigned Pop Punk Podcast! He has been an important member of the music scene for over 10 years. He is a photographer, tour manager, musician, and Twitch Affiliate. We are so stoked to have Gibby as part of the Unsigned Pop Punk Family.
Meet Kate Tarnowski! Kate is our public relations and event coordinator! We are excited to have her and her years of experience as part of the UPP Family! She loves cats and zombie movies. Her favorite band is the Foo Fighters.
Meet Brett! Brett Harvey Wiese has been a part of the pop punk and emo scene for nearly two decades, playing drums in Remember the Day and Gain, and now taking center stage as guitarist and co-vocalist of The Drugstore Cowboys. Also a solo singer/songwriter and seasoned audio engineer, Brett brings a deep passion for both music and community to everything he does. That same love for the scene led him to join the Unsigned Pop Punk team, where he helps spotlight rising artists as a co-host of the podcast — keeping the spirit of the scene alive and louder than ever.
Meet Laurence! Laurence is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator with ten years experience working in the music scene. Since 2015, Laurence has been working out of his art-shed at the bottom of his garden, situated in Kent, the garden of England, creating artwork for album covers, posters and merchandise. Over the course of that time he’s had the chance to work on a multitude of projects, from illustrating novels to creating assets for video games.
Laurence is also a musician, playing in multiple bands and projects over the years, as well as focusing on his own one man acoustic-punk act, Wolfe Sunday.
Laurence’s favourite band is Cancer Bats, he’s seen them over 30 times live.

Meet Bear Pulley! Bear is co-creator of the “Where’d All My Friends Go?” podcast! Bear has been in the music industry for 6 years with combined experience as a tour manager, hired gun, and now the vocalist for Of Brighter Skies. He joined Patrick and Unsigned Pop Punk to help grow the music scene from the ground up. His love for music and musicians led him to Patrick and Unsigned Pop Punk to shed light on some of the most talented up and coming bands in the world today. He is also a massive Star Wars fan.
Meet Matt Reed! Matt is the Co-Host of the “Where Did All My Friends Go?” Podcast and has been involved in the Minnesota music scene since the early 2000’s. He is currently the main man behind his own pop punk solo project, Portside Dive. Matt has deep love for the music scene and the massive support he has shown to up and coming artists over the years is what brings him to Unsigned Pop Punk. Bringing an added high energy to the Twitch team, he has hosted episodes of the Super Awesome Music Video Show and has his own show on the way soon!
